WIDOPAN Produkte GmbH markets various systems for waterproofing and coating of balconies. The use of products depends on the areas of deployment, use and structural circumstances.
In the event that only waterproofing is required, which then has to be provided with a loose covering, the product WIDOPAN-FD with polyester grid fleece or fibre glass mat reinforcement is used. Even if heat insulation is to be installed beneath the waterproofing, or is already present, we recommend waterproofing with a loose covering as use surface. Loose covering can be all kinds of panelling, on remote guide rails, elevated bearings or mortar dabs, as well as laid in a gravel bed or on a wooden grid (outdoor parquet) and all other kinds of loose laid coverings. The implementation method of waterproofing with coating is also possible on firm undergrounds, such as concrete, screed or existing tile surfaces. Our WIDOCRYL-PM product is recommended for this application. The waterproofing and simultaneously the decorative surface coating (wearing surface) is produced with WIDOCRYL-PM.
Various granite granulates or chips can be scattered for design purposes.
The advantage of this implementation version is that waterproofing with a usable surface can be produced with a slight structural height and layer thickness. However, the wearing surface is softer and more elastic than in the case of separately laid surface coverings.
